The Slide Trimmer originated as part of the thermal binding machine to cut off the excess glue strip. It is crafted to slide across the edge of the paper preventing a “lip” from being formed. A lip is the very small excess strip that prevents the smooth bonded edge of the document that allows for the label on the spine of the document.
The slide trimmer is small and light-weight fitting neatly in one hand. The size allows the user to steady the document while making a clean cut. The paper trimmer blades are made of Air Hardening Tool Steel and designed for long, sharp life. In addition to paper, the trimmer can also be used for trimming wood working edges or laminate.
