Book Binding Instructions
Before operating our book binding machine equipment, we strongly urge you to read through our book binding instruction for safe use. Ou book binding instructions are easy to learn so please take a couple minutes to make sure you stay on the right track when binding at home. IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Do not touch hot surface. Use the handle. (Heat Unit)Do not allow the power cord to hang over the edge of the table where it may be tripped over or pulled.To disconnect Binding Machine power cord from an electrical outlet pull directly on the plug, do not pull on the power cord, it could fray and break.This machine generates heat. Take proper precautions to prevent burns, fire, or personal property damage.Step 1: Paper Alignment
Insert paper clamp into alignment fixtureInsert document (1/2” Max.) down into paper clamp.Use your finger to tap the top and the right side of the document and also back and forth few timesTurn knobs to close the paper clamp (do not over tighten)Slide paper clamp and document upside down.You are now ready for bindingStep 2
Position paper Clamp & DocumentStep 3
Insert paper clamp with document into binding machineStep 4
Slide Glue strip under springs on both ends and over the documentStep 5
Lower heat handle with red handlePress start button (Set Timer to 1min)Alarm sounds, press stopLift heat unit and lower cool unit with black handlePress start button againAlarm sounds, press stopLift cool unit. Cycle completedStep 6
Turn knob to open paper clampLift document from paper clampUse scissors to cut off both ends of extended glue stripStep 7: Trimming
Place document on trimmer boardUse trimmer to trim of excess glue strip. (both sides)Step 8
Place Label on Glue Strip Spine
Step 9: Apply Clear Tape to Spine (Optional)
Place clear tape on front page edge 1/8” – ¼” as shown and trim off both endStep 10: Folding Clear Tape
Fold the clear tape to the spine and back of document, by sliding your finger back and forth along the edge and spine
